Mayo Clinic gastroenterologist and celiac disease expert Joseph Murray, M.D., will be taking part in a webinar organized by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) this Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
The webinar, titled “You Ask, We Answer: 60 Minutes with Top Celiac Disease Researchers”, begins at 11 a.m. CST, and will be an opportunity for Dr. Murray to address the gluten-free community’s most pressing questions about celiac disease.
“The public is keenly interested in gluten and its potential for harms such as celiac disease," says Dr. Murray. "The popularity of the topic, however, is not matched by a high level of scientifically based information. As clinicians and scientists, we are both informed and challenged by patients and the members of the public to provide answers. This webinar provides such a platform.”
In addition to Dr. Murray, the webinar will also feature Daniel Leffler, M.D., M.S., of the Celiac Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

In addition to their webinar, Dr. Murray also recently participated in a Q&A session with the NFCA about going gluten-free before a diagnosis.
